Hey all,

Before I left for vacation 3 weeks ago I sold my 3do with games etc etc, all vacation i've missed it, knowing it won't be there when i get home. The moral of the story is never sell the 3do! thankfully after messaging the new owner, (an avid 3do collector) he has agreed to sell me back my 3do with everything i sold to him, so happy!

Can't wait to play it again lol

That's the most romantic 3DO-story I've ever read!

During the course of my gaming/collecting, I've probably bought back at least 1/2 of what I've sold. It's gotten better in recent years, but I'm still not immune. Yesterday I was shopping in a vintage game shop where I've sold many things, and there was a system that I sold some months back on display. My wife turns to me and says "How long before you buy it back?"

I know there are some systems i could never sell, but there are some i won't really worry about selling.

My all time favourite system is still my Amiga A500 which my dad bought for all of us back in 89/90, was the batman pack version :)

Good memories w/the Amiga 500. I never did much computer gaming back in the day, but I was hooked on my friends A500. Had so much fun checking out all the cool software he had ... it's what convinced me to pick up a CD32 years later.

Yeah, I learned that lesson early.. If *anything*, at least don't sell the console itself! ;)

Really? I always thought other way round, since the machines are
quite easy to get, but rebuilding a software collection is sometimes
almost impossible!
Sold my CD32, still got all the software.

I put allot of stuff up for sale but now i'm going to think twice about selling some of it, I know my vintage computers can all go, the spectrums c16, atari 520stfm, but the consoles need to stay!

It arrived back today guys, and I even got a copy of way of the warrior thrown in (because it wouldn't work on my friends 3do as his is not jp)

:D

Once i've done todays modern gaming of uncharted I will have a SSF2 bash :)

Yeah I know the feeling. I am on my third 3DO this time. Each were at different time periods. This time it's here to stay, I don't play it often, but when I want to I know that it's available. :)

I havent sold anything since i started actually collecting videogames.. I did however sell games i had BEFORE i started collecting the games i play (prior to age 18 basically, 15+ years ago). Some nice NES and SNES titles mainly that got lost in that way. But nothing thats irreplacable, some can be abit pricey tho in the same minty complete condition.. Like Street Gangs for the NES (River City Ransom to you americans. But im looking for that for the PC Engine now, damn pricey game though.) or Chronotrigger.

I felt your pain and re-bought one recently as well. I also regret selling things over the years.. =(

Nice story, glad you got it coming back to you.

I recently sold my NES and SNES as I rarely played them and while the NES in particular is a big part of gaming history, I find both overrated. Anyway, I don't think I could bring myself to sell any other console, especially the 3DO, Jaguar and Saturn.

HAD A LOOK THROUGH...
the membership listing to see if anyone joined who I already knew and found Prab, along with this thread.

Amusingly, it was me who he sold the JP 3DO too, only to want it back soon after! :P

Yeah, so I let him have it back and threw in a JP copy of WOTW that I couldn't play on my PAL console (why not?).

It's not right to deprive a man of his love for the 3DO now, is it? 8)
