Okay, should we change the name of the forum?

Are there any former 3do employees on this forum?

Sure, why not? If it's an irritant to ewhac and others, it's worth changing. And hey, at least we're not called the "Three-Doo Forums".

Without knowing any of the context, I always thought 3DO Zone had a nice ring to it. But now that I know the context, I think it is akin to a nintendo forum being titled "nintendon't" - it doesn't bother me, and it's not like there are any other outside groups that are going to make fun of the forum because of its name, but I guess I lean more towards a change than not bc of the history of the term.

I can't speak to today today, but earlier this year ewhac and gammadev mentioned that they didn't like the name (and/or found it to be grating) in one of their Let's Play videos for Monster Manor.

Well I always thought it was there as the sites that write 3D0 not knowing it's an O. I really can't recall the comment that was made though. Not that I'm known for an even halfway decent memory. Do you remember which episode it was? I have them all saved.

I think a lot of the press or the competition when talking sarcastically about 3DO called it the 3DZero (3D0) or 3DOA. It would grate on me too to be honest. Does anyone know why we called 3DO Zone in the first. I know, I should know. But for the life of me I can't remember. I know wasn't intentionally to be horrible or snarky to 3DO -

I say change it. I mean, web address doesn't need to change. It's just a couple edits and a new forum logo.

Okay. Two more days, and i'll ask 3DO Experience,nicely, to change it to 3DO Experience

I admit that I too never got the 3DO Zone title, not that it ever really mattered though to be honest. But as it's being discussed, yeah... just drop the 'zero'...

Just watched that part. Woa! I don't know how I had forgotten that! I was listening to to at work and must have only been paying half attention. Yes change it for sure.

In answer to the question, no I wasn't being sarky (snarky). I had extra capacity and the ability to open a 3DO forum alongside the CD-i forums. So 3DO Zone just sounded snappy and these forums were born. That's it!
