POWERSLIDE, ONSIDE, DECATHLON... TRAILERS @ YOUTUBE!

Post by OlderGames » Thu Jun 21, 2007 10:08 pm

Hello,

We've posted some clips over at YouTube featuring these three titles.
I'm having major issues with Adobe Premier right now and will need to
re-cut and re-code them. The only one that came out the way I wanted
it was PowerSlide. The in-game footage itself is fine but if you view the
clips you'll see what I'm talking about...

Anyhoo... here's the news link @ oldergames:

Ah, now this is what I was waiting for. Based off the videos, I think I'll pass on Powerslide, but Onside looks quite nice. Does it have any crowd noise, though? And do you have any actual gameplay footage of Decathlon?

Yes. Onside has the announcers talking while you play too.
Decath: John was supposed to record some in-game stuff
but he forgot. I'm going to try to get some additional footage soon.

I just sent my payment in for Powerslide. I agree with you...oh well, it is only money. I am wishing that I ordered Decathalon or Onside now kind of.

Please be aware that although the movie looks like shit it's not THAT
unplayable. John really DOES stink as a gamer and doesn't know how
to play the game. The point of the game isn't to play it like a normal
racing title: you are supposed to speed drift. The actual name "powerslide"
comes from the concept of drifting, and power sliding. It's not supposed
to be easy. He honestly makes it look worse than it is...

In the video you will note he keeps losing control and going in the opposite
side of where he should be driving. The biggest thing to note in the video
isn't the driving but the field of view which is rendered much closer than
the draw distance seen on the attract-mode screen.

For those who ordered the game already: We will be happy to exchange
it for a different title after you have received it if you are unhappy with
your purchase. We stand by our products and are honest people.

I have no doubt whatsoever that you are honest and I appreciate you and your company for your honesty and services. I am just happy to see that 3DO titles are being released and thank you and the developers for making it happen. I know I am very appreciative! :D

Okay, as soon as I bet the cash I am all over these. I have been so waiting for Powerslide and since I was able to get an FZ-10 for the time being, it's on. Powerslide and Ice Braeker II! 8)
This is a stick up! Put all of your 3DO games in the bag and nobody gets hurt!

You know what drives me nuts, a few days ago I tried to order Decathlon and the site wouldn't let me and then after trying about a million times the sucker sold out.
The least I could get is some in-game footage since I'm not allowed to buy it.
"Wait. You don't have a bag of charcoal in your gaming room???"
