OK. We are all looking forward to the game being released by Older Games. So - while we are looking to the futuer lets look further and suggest a few games they may want to also release.

I nominate:

Firewall. (at least a re-release)
The Eye of Typhoon.

anything else?

3DO Kid.

Mortal Komat Ultimate?

I know that Waterworld and Clay Fighter were finished for the 3DO and I would love to see those released. I have heard rumor that Good Deal Games actually has Waterworld but didn't release it due to theencryption problems. I also nominate the Captain Quasar expansion disc that was supposed to be in the works. Not sure if it was finished, but would be fun to find out.

Oh wow, Clayfighter...I forgot about that game! I loved the Elvis-like character, that game cracked me up. I would like to see that one too.

I spoke with a developer who worked on the Waterworld game, he seemed very enthused about the water effects!

Although I doubt it holds much to todays standards ala Bioshock :D

I am still very curious about this version of the game.

I gather it was a high profile release back in the day. As a lover of lost relics I'd like to learn more about this release. Anyone have articles or previews from 3DO Magazines? Wish I'd probed the developer further on the subject now. Although at that time I wasn't quite the buff on protos that I find myself to be now. At least that's my excuse! :D

You do know that the 3DO Buffet disc actually has a movie of the game running, yeah? Looked interresting. Really seemed to push the graphics of the 3DO. I really wanted to see what Interplay was going to pull out on this one bad too!

I think that I have that somewhere, worth a look see! :D

Unless it's readily available elsewhere on the net? Really don't want to dislodge my precarious stack of magazines, DVDs and Games to find my Buffet CD!

Well sadly i don't know any information of games that were in the works when the 3DO was axed..so i'll just say this

Due to the sheer fact that I will be able to buy 3DO games that are brand new titles. ..well thats enough for me, and whatever or if they wish to finish anything else, will be the icing on the cake

Thats just my 2cp

Not that I am aware of sir, sorry.

@Wulfrun, I agree with you 100% man. It's about damn time that we got some new blood in the world of the 3DO.

I think Policenauts will just be a matter of time - for a funsub anyway. I also believe that Konami will have a fit when it happens LOL.

Some awesome choices that I had forgotten about (although I thought Penn & Teller was only in development for the Sega cd)

Does anyone else remember Duelin' Fireman?

-Star Trek never got much done on it. Kind of like WORLDBUILDERS, it was one of those things they wanted to do, but got scrapped early. See also Prowler on that one (another EA/Origin disappointment). I'd rather have seen Worldbuilders though, the CES samples looked neat.

-Waterworld would be difficult as you'd have to pay movie license royalties. Would be nice though I agree.

-Penn & Teller does exist in beta on 3DO.

-Isis is weak, same as Golden Gate. Myst clones were not where PW! should have went, but I digress. There was actually a full version of this sold on e-bay by a few different users over the years. Apparently one claimed his was obtained at an Earth, Wind & Fire concert.

-Maximum Surge was supposed to be obtained by Digital Leisure for DVD release, but that didn't come to pass. Footage does appear in the film GAME OVER though. :-(

-Duelin' Firemen had a website active last year, but it has since disappeared. The 'trailer' for the game is available on Youtube though. Kinda glad nothing came of it. heh. Even for a nostalgia concept, it made most MST3K movies look Oscar worthy.

Haha, awesome.

The scary part was one of the original promos for the Desert Bus segment was to also have a "highest score contest", and the winner would get a ride on a real desert bus with Penn & teller and showgirls. This wouldn't be so bad, except for 8 hours of actual game play, you got... 1 point! Ouchie!
