My 3DO Blaster system has allowed me to install the PC version of Alone in the Dark, and while it's a good deal smoother (might be down to the Pentium III processor) the sound sucks. Choppy and there appears to be no music. However, that maybe down to my system. Currently the CDrom hasn't got an audio cable connecting to the sound card... anyone remember?

The sound for Alone in the Dark is crisper and much nicer on the 3DO. I could swear I remember the PC version having music though. However, the PC Version always seemed to have better hit detection. Many times, things that I was able to hit on the PC Version easily seemed much harder to hit on the 3DO version. Either way, they are bothy good games for their time.

The PC version has the same musical score as the 3DO version, but in midi instead of the orchestrated version we got on the 3DO. The PC version also has no voice acting.

There was a CD-ROM version for the PC which has the same music as on 3DO (which is a completely new soundtrack, not orchestrated versions of the MIDI music) and voice acting for the intro.
