Has anyone played this? I am wondering if Ichiro or any current MLB players from Japan are in this. I am going to be playing this for a long time I think once it arrives.

i never heard of this game, but i would like to hear if its better then that POS sanyo baseball

Sanyo Baseball? I have never heard of it and thought that this was the only baseball game for the 3DO...I hope it isn't the same one.

I will be sure and get one out on this forum. Probably any team on the game is better than the sucky ass Pirates. Pretty soon and we will be the worst franchise in all of American sports! Woohoo!

hell just being made by EA sports when they were at their best in the mid 90s is a huge plus

I didn't even notice that...great attention to detail on my part. Wow, that is a plus. I bet there will be some former MLB players on their that defected to the Japanese league.

I like Virtual Stadium. It is fun for single games, but I can't imagine doing a full season with it (language and save memory) . The graphics are pretty solid (same engine as Fifa) and I actually enjoy the female japanese announcer. Controls take a bit of getting used to, but not too tough. Good game, although it can't compete w/the Triple Play sequels that came out for the PSX. (accept in 8 player support)
P.S. I want the Sanyo baseball title! Do you own it 3DOKid? I'd like to read a review.

Truth be told, Sanyo baseball looks and plays (sadly) alot like the early 3D baseball games for Saturn. Slow, choppy and very clunkily mechanical.
PBVS is a much better, more fun game, more akin to the RBI series. A lot of extra features like Home Run Derby and such make it a nice game to just pick up and play. Language barrier aside (and its not a steep barrier at all), its still very fun to play and the better by far of the 3DO baseball titles. Be forewarned though, there are demos of the game out there being sold as the full edition.
As to the rosters, I'd have to go through the Blue Wave's roster to see if he's listed. Probably could do that this weekend time permitting.
If I could get the Collectives back up and running, I already did review this title.
