Recently I was checking the information about the games that came with Action PAK and the conclusion is that all games, except Soccer Kid, are rereleases with some kind of revision of the game.

Dragon's Lair > Partial ring code (B1354 DH65003-2 RE1 R72 APC) > Action PAK / Rerelease
Dragon's Lair > Partial ring code (DH 65003) > rev 0


Shanghai - Triple-Threat > Partial ring code (B1375 CE 02500-2.4 R71) > Action PAK / Rerelease
Shanghai - Triple-Threat > Partial ring code (TRIPLETHREAT R1J) > rev 0


Slayer > Partial ring code (B1369 CE 02500-2.1 R71) > Action PAK / Rerelease
Slayer > Partial ring code (SLAYER R1J) > rev 0


Soccer Kid > Partial ring code (B1355 CE 00942-2 RE1 R72) > Action PAK / Probably a Rerelease
Soccer Kid > Partial ring code (???????) > rev 0


That info from tosec and redump about the ring codes points that when you have a RE1 on ring code, you have a version revised.

So I would like to ask if you have the original Soccer Kid (USA), please check if the ring code is anything different from (B1355 CE 00942-2 RE1 R72). That would proof my theory about this.

That code is B260 CE 00942-2 R70, for the record. I see it returns some Google hits, so I guess sometime between 2018 and now, the version I have was dumped.

thankfully that ringcode variation was dumped and it's confirmed that matches retail (dumped from one of those demo catalog discs).
