3DO & photo cds
Has anyone ever run photo cds on their 3DO? Was this format very popular in the early/mid 90's? I have 2 photo discs but they are rather ho-hum ... were there any that are worth reccommending?
I didn't know there were ANY generic "photo CD" discs to be bought! I thought it was ONLY for having home pictures put onto photo cd to view. And I don't think it's possible to get photo cd's made anymore either, by any photo developer. They all use the newer ?-Kodak picture cd-? format now. I'd use it if I could learn to make my own in that format. But I have never had the opportunity thus far.

I remember back in the early 90s, TV ads for print shops going on about photographs being "a thing of the past" beecause from now onwards everyone would be putting their films on photo cds.
A guy on some technology programme I watched was saying that by the year 2000 all cameras would have a CD writer built inside them so that photos would be instantly burnt to disc.
Funny how that kinda happened but with slight changes to the technology (memory cards etc)

"Didn' mean ta burst ya bubble"
My friend had sent out to have some pictures added to a photo cd back in 93-94.
We tested it out on my 3do and CDi. The CDi did a better job over all looked less grainy.
the pictures looked like they have been scanned in at very high resolution for the time. maybe 3 or 4 MP?
you could zoom in a few times.
