A 3DO Collection - bitrate

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this.

I'm finally getting my 3DO collection out of boxes and sorting through stuff. As I go along I will be taking photos of everything and making notes.

I'm going to start off with photos of US released long box games. The picture below is what I have retrieved from 22 Wilcopy paper boxes (and also what I was able to almost fit into the camera frame). I'll take another group shot of the rest of my long box games when I finish picking these ones up and sorting like titles together.

Here are some imports.

You only need to do one more thing to complete your mission in life...

Send all those games to me.

I'll be standing by my mailbox...

So many repeats. looks like you got the leftovers from a store(s) getting rid of stuff. It's still cool to have that though (didnt want to sound negative) You could make some money on ebay! :)

Sweet jesus...

Hey, I'm about to reopen my game store and I like to stock retro stuff. If you want to sell some of your redundant copies, I'd love to talk.

10 copies of Guardian War? It's a decent enough game, but not that good. I see 6 Total Eclipses too. I might be able to redo the 12 days of Christmas just going over that photo, lol. Thank god it's not 20 copies of Plumbers Don't Wear Ties though. That'd be grounds for a tar and feathering.

I did buy some of these games from a store clearance, but a large portion of them come from buying up 3DO lots. You should see how many consoles I have to go with these games 8)

I'll keep you in mind if I decide to let loose with some of them. First I have to sort through the rest of them (believe it or not, there are more).

Ahem, there are 11 copies of Guardian War in the picture :D Some of them are factory sealed and some have the cover variation
Start heating up the tar... I might yet have 20 copies of Plumbers Don't Wear Ties when I finish sorting...

Had to be done. You can see the manga and more recent games are in my walk-in closet, but you don't see the rest of the boxes. All the consoles, peripherals... creap, a box of controllers higher than your waist, powergloves hanging off the shelves, you name it. I had a big store.

Before that, I had taken one of my shelving units and put it in the spare bedroom of my previous apartment (the shelves were given to me by a closing down Waldenbooks in the first place) and just made that the stock room. I coasted for awhile on eBay. Sell the stuff, go into the next room and pack it like a factory.

And I thought I was nuts :)

I had about 400 long boxes at one point but then saw sense and sold a few lots on ebay to clear out, down to about 80 spare now, which is *almost* ok

Can you post a pic of the alternative covers for Guardian War please, I've only seen one.

You mean you actually got some form of pleasure out of Plumbers? I don't even think tossing that "game" in a smelter would give me any pleasure.

Just added a couple pics of the fronts of some of my imports. More pics of different games to follow.

I have gone through and counted all of the unique 3DO import titles.

I counted a total of 147 different titles. This number does not include import repackages, promo packaging, etc. It is strictly a count of unique import games.
To my knowledge, this is the highest number of imports listed anywhere. Of course, every once in a while I'll come across another game I never new existed, so I'm sure this number will increase at some point (I hope  ). As of right now though, I am unaware of any other import title that exists.

hmmm, 147 jpn unique titles ? only games that have been released and for sale, not demos, not for sale and not limited edition, right ?

How many limited edition are there ? D and policenauts. Anything else ?

On my list, I count more than 210 jpn 3do games and I need about 60 of them. I also have 36 demos, which is far from a complete collection.

So it seems you have a good hope to find some new games/demos to add to your wonderful 3DO collection

I've got 210 on my list too :) Based on the item codes I reckon I could be missing a couple (FZ-SJ2352 or FZ-SJ2353 anyone?) Only 14 demos though so sounds like I've got work to do there.

I've got 202 different US titles including demos etc, which I reckon is a pretty comprehensive list, though I'd be happy to hear otherwise!

Still waiting for that alternative cover shot of Guardian War, which is one missing from that US list.

210 !

Are you guys absolutely certain that you are not counting Japanese games that were also released in the US? Japanese versions of Road Rash, Escape From Monster Manor, etc., etc., etc. all have the FZ-SJXXXX designations but I don't count them as they were also released in the US.

Ah, so that's what you mean by unique! Yes I'm counting all games released in Japan, not those only released in Japan.

I'll have to have a recount, though it's tricky as the same game was released under completely different names in several cases.

.
ive got 199 including 16 demo program CDs, the game guru, and Panasonic Demonstration CD, and beverly hills models (multi platform CD)
but 180 is the real number not including those

thats counting the repacks just as one game also, like the action pack and maniac pack.. etc
