3DO's greatest musical hits

Say I was going to make a cd of the best of 3DO music. What would everyone consider to be must have? And I don't just mean like what games, but even more specific like what tracks? I'd love to be able to listen to great 3DO tunes during my commute.

Thoughts?

But which areas in Lost Eden? I want to make a variety disc so I likely would only grab 1 track from a game.

yur got the same prob I do. I started on a best of but there was just so much good stuff out there I never finished. Then I f*cked up my laptop and lost it along with a completed Johnny Bazookatone and half done Lucienne's Quest.

I agree that there are too many good tunes ... I'm having a hard time finalizing a list myself. That is why I'm looking for some specific feedback to help me narrow it down. I've been looking through earlier music threads to help me decide. Lots of great games mentioned in them, as well as some that have been neglected.

Since I'm being so picky, I'll start the ball rolling. I love the music from the 1st levels of Soccer Kid. I'd rip one of them to be sure.

intro to Bazookatone, menu from Killing Time, intro to Quarantine, Slayer has some good tracks. Intro to Lucienne's Quest, a track from Paatank, In the Depths (of HELL) from Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller... I had to rip that from the PC version as the 3DO doesn't have the full song. Maybe Policenauts. OH Total Eclipse has some great tracks... I should make a soundtrack from that one!

Um, this would be kinda big... maybe we should work together on this.

Quarantine: Indie rock everywhere
FIFA Soccer: Great for the presentation, menus!
Doom: The gameplay sucked but the music was METAL, choose your favorite Doom tune
Return Fire: The best use of flight of the bumble bee ever
Star Control 2: Hyperspace remix
Gex: Jungle Level Tune

W/the exception of maybe Quarantine I think those are all good choices.

I also nominate something from Escape from Monster Manor.

Maybe we should concentrate on a certain genere of music. Like, since 3DO has so many rock style soundtracks, just start off w/that.

I have done a full soundtrack of Escape from Monster Manor including changed audio from the Jap version.

I put on the list the main theme from Wing Commander3 and some new age tracks from Immercenary (they're good to relax)..

And the main theme from AD&D Slayer.

Yeah, I'd also love to do a best of 3DO relaxing tunes. I can think of several that would fit the bill. Maybe that should be vol2.?

What we could use is a place where members could go, listen to some sample tracks, and than maybe vote on their favorites. I really have no idea how involved something like that would be, but I'm willing to do my share.
