So I've got some unreleased 3DO titles and I'm going to start doing some reviews on them.
I thought I would start with this game:

Varuna's Forces. This was due out second quarter 1996 and unfortunately did not see release.

I was thinking I would dig up as much information about this game as I can through my collection of old 3DO/3DO related gaming magazines, online sources and of course playing through the game. Then I will make an attempt at writing a review of the title.
I will then continue the process for more of the unreleased games that I have for the 3DO.

I also wanted to ask if anyone has any information on this game (of any or the upcoming games I review) to please contribute and I will include that information in the review.

Cool! Yesterday I made a short list of betas & games that went unreleased off the top of my head (not including M2s but). Maybe we should go an 'official' list? This is what I've go so far:

3DO Games: Decathlon (1996)(Studio 3DO)(US)(beta)
Battletanx (199x)(-)
Footie (199x)(-)(UK)(beta)[likely by Elite]
Golden Gate - treasure by the bay (199x)(-)
Icebreaker 2 v6.7 (1996)(Looney Labs)(US)(beta)
Killing Time v2.7 (1995)(Studio 3DO)(US)(beta)
Mad Dog II - the Lost Gold (1994)(American Laser Games)(US)(beta)
NHL Hockey '96 (1996)(Electronic Arts)
Onside (1995)(Elite)(UK)(beta)
Orbatak (199x)(American Laser Games)(US)(beta)
PowerSlide (1994)(Elite)(UK)(beta)
Star Trek TNG: A World For All Seasons (199x)(-)
Thea the Dinosaur (199x)(-)
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1996)(Midway)
Varuna's Forces (1996)(Accent Media)(beta)
Waterworld (199x)(Pickford Brothers)

I have dates for some of these, just haven't bothered to look. I only put (beta) on the ones that I know are floating around, just added this one of course.

the true prototype that ran on a prototype 3do based arcade system is rare. the only difference is that it was programed for coinage and other necessary arcade stuff. But the game itself was released on 3do so im not sure if we want to include it on the list or not. I just mentioned it heh.

That was an M2 game. No 3DO "M1" version of it was planned.

//edit:
Forget that, seems like there was indeed a version for the 3DO.

Yeah I've mentioned it before - coding to M2 only started after the opera version was virtually complete and the 3do considered "dead". I have it on good authority that a playable beta existed for opera.

wow did I actually stump windowskiller! there's a first for everything
