Suggestions for open source projects

Post by bulletbob » Mon Apr 29, 2019 6:58 pm

BulletBob is a character from the PC video game Blade Runner(1998).

You can call me Kris. I am obsessed with the 3DO.
Has anyone dumped the bios of the fz-fv1, fz-fv10 or fz-ems256 yet?

Thanks for the list. Rick Dangerous seems interesting to port (and maybe much easier and smaller game than the rest).
I was thinking to look at some old homebrew or open source games (even from GP32 communities or some old DOS stuff), maybe there are few that are not hard to port. Even if a game on GP32 for example with more powerful CPU is software rendering, I could replace the sprite rendering with my quad rasterizer CEL sprite engine easily enough I think. So, simple 2D games should be easier.
Maybe if I steal time and motivation from my other projects.

More as a tool to help port other things to the 3DO.
What came after the Jaguar was the PS1 which for all it's greatness, ushered in corporate development and with it the bleached, repetitive, bland titles which for the most part we're still playing today. - David Wightman
