I want my hero biscuit.....Melvin - the official NFS Thread

Post by mattyg » Thu Jul 09, 2009 7:28 am

I have recently become reaquainted with this game and am overjoyed that its the guys at Criterion that are now in charge of the new NFS project - why ? do you ask - well I have read at least once that the 3DO version was so revered over there that a working 3DO and copy of the game are easily accessible to staff.

This is from a recent twitter post:
Criterion’s Alex Ward just dropped a less than subtle hint on the direction of the developer’s Need for Speed project.

“‘Red lining it all the way and making it pay’ – a return to the original 3DO version of The Need for Speed,” tweeted the boss.

EA boss John Riccitiello confirmed in June that the studio was now working on a “revolutionary” new Need for Speed game, following many months of rumours.

This probably means it’s going to be awesome. Although there was never much doubt about that.
I believe this game is so awesome it needs its own post (not just a review) - thoughts everyone?

I have no probs if this post is moved

I was wondering for a minute if this was Gunstar again ... but yeah, if this marks the long overdue return to the old form it's great news for NFS fans everywhere. :)
