I'm sure that many of the regualrs have noticed that Lemmi has been absent since busting up his foot a little over a month ago. Here is the thread were it was mentioned, just to refresh ...
http://3do.cdinteractive.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1281
Anyway, I pm'd him to see how he was getting along. Here is a paraphrased update ... shared w/his permission ...
Major swelling and fracture blisters have occurred, making the threat of infection very real. An operation is looking probable for the near future, but will involve screws & a plate being used. Worse, it will be 1 yr + before he is in walking shape!
Needing to keep his foot elevated to keep blood out makes it
very tough for him to access a computer. Still, if and when he can next do so, maybe drop a quick note and send him best wishes ... let him know he is missed.
Praying for you buddy!

Missed this one, thanks for highlighting his plight.
Can't imagine the burden of paying for treatment, here in the UK it's all pretty much free. The old man had a hip replacement just last month and he's back on his feet again within weeks.
Sell, beg and steal Lemmi! Gotta get back on your feet. Thoughts with you old bean.

thanks guys
the doc said maybe next week sometime i can have the operation, he also said i could just let it heal and i would lose almost 2 inches in height in my right foot and wear a lift in my shoe (i dont want that option, plus he would still have to cut into my foot and fuse a bone with a big screw anyway)
i have learned vicodin doesnt affect me much and it hasnt done shit for the pain. the doc doesnt want to much pain medication in my system, he doesnt want my body to get used to it because he said the real pain will be comming after the operation
well anyway, im going to lay back down now, this will be my last post for awhile
bye

Here Here ,
Maybe you could move to a country where this kind of health care is FREE like Australia!
We cringe at every US health system story we hear.
hang in there bud!

So do we. It's just so alien isn't it? The only trick with the NHS is not to contract something much-much worse while you are in hospital.
That said, NHS have always been good to me.

Just a thought, but if you're incarcerated in the states wouldn't they be liable for your medical treatment?
In that case crime would pay, especially if it's a mini-crime! Say a 3 month sentence.
