Some of you may have heard about a freak dust storm that affected the Australian eastern seaboard last week. It dumped approx 75,000 tonnes an hour of bright red dust from the central deserts. Whilst this is common place inland this is the first time anyone can remember such a thing happening on the coast. The following pics were taken from my backyard : enjoy!

It does give it a really cool lighting effect. but im sure its worse than smoking being out in it. I don't even want to imagine it. :/

yep - it's a fine red dust

the pictures dont do it justice it was as if everything was glowing red/orange when we awoke that morning

if I hadn't lived inland for a while it would have spooked the crap out of me !

That looks cool, but I'm sure it sucks big time.
