just sharing some pics of some modded (coloured) consoles I have done in the last couple of weeks - each console was stripped cleaned and the shells sprayed in an automotive booth. The paints have bonded well and they look fantastic and are scratch resistant. There is a purple megadrive/genesis , maroon playstation and a white and a green Lynx.

The photos definitely dont do the sega justice - it looks gloss black in normal light but a really nice purple when light is applied - unfortunately the camera flash activated on that one!
All of them were loose working consoles with either damaged or faded shells.
I am very happy with all of them and there are more on the list to be done including an FZ-1 so stay tuned!

I think I've mentioned the process before - but I can say that it is not cheap and involves prepping and treating the shells in a similar way to plasic car bumper/fenders in a professional spraybooth - if its not done right the plastic dissolves , melts or the paint flakes - it was a lot of trial and error!

As for the white Lynx it has been done before and Karri over at Atariage refers to it as the "stormtrooper mod" - as for Logan's Run I'm old enough to have seen that on first release at a Drive In !

As much as I'm not a PlaySatan fan, I have to say I like the way the red PS1 looks. The SNES is quite stylish too.

This really isn't that much related but I just got my new LD player in and it looks so sweet I thought I would show some images.

I came in this color, champagne not gold, but it's paint job is so lovely I wanted to share with you.

and here is possibly my greatest work yet! almost complete ....

Still waiting on ared controller and some minor bits but my Mario themed 64 is looking pretty good - next on my list is a Luigi themed GC to packaged with Luigi's Mansion!

Thought about it but they kinda seemed to match the gold transplanted Panasonic badge (which was lifted off a set of speakers). My Sonic themed megadrive currently under construction will have the red buttons changed to white -

The saturn is just awaiting some new Sega decals but otherwise they are all finished! Next time though the mega drive will get white buttons - It was actually the painters mistake so this one ended up on the house lol Hope you all enjoy the pics

yeah that umm.. genesis! (thats what i call it!) It does look nifty but would of been even cooler with white buttons.

I was thinking about making slight changes to the Sega Saturn. I'd want a white Jap version but I'm not sure which way I would do it.

This PS3 was given to me broken to do whatever I wanted - many anti Sony thoughts went through my head , paperweight , doorstop , anchor...

Found the laser to be faulty so whilst it was apart I thought what the heck!
