My friend's been playing it for a week. He's pretty addicted, and he isn't too interested in games anymore.

That looks fantastic. Sadly, 20 years to late for me, looks like it needs time ;)

edit: although the game idea and concept is amazing, I cannot get into the game. here are the reasons:

- days are too short, then the nights come, releasing crazy shooting attack-monsters
- don't know how to build more solid tools, to dig deeper and faster
- after digging a few metres there are always solid blocks, which take
too long to destroy
- game sometimes freezes
- nights stay too long, no fast forward option

these points slow the gameplay down and reduce the fun factor to zero.
spent 10 euros into it.
someday I'll continue. for now, I play wipeout 2097 again.

edit 2:
got deeper into minecraft, but still: digging digging,
wood, stone, wood stone, build build.
cannot build houses - days are too short.
it's just not interesting enough.
