What's a good source for video game screenshots?

Post by Trev » Tue Jan 31, 2012 4:26 am

Pretty much what the subject says ... mainly for 3DO & Jag games. I added some pics to an old review of mine, and am contemplating doing the same to others ... Is their a site or sites that are good for that sorta thing?

For Jag stuff, you could use the photos from AtariAge. Just mark in the bottom of the review that you got them from there. Otherwise, Google image search is your friend.

Yeah, Atari Age seems to have pretty good collection of Jag shots although I haven't used any from there yet. I updated a few more of my Jaguar reviews earlier w/pics from elsewhere ... since I haven't written too many, it shouldn't be long before I've done them all. 3DO reviews on the other hand, will take a while.

Photos definitely spice things up a bit, so I appreciate that you are taking the time to add them to your reviews. :)

The Jaguar Dome used to be a great place to get shots but they are gone now. Guess that make this post useless.

Not this place ... http://justclaws.atari.org/jagudome/jdmain.html

They do have some nice shots (I added a few from here for some reviews) Doesn't look like the site has been updated for the past decade or so though ...

Actually it was with this http://jagudome.atari.me.uk/

but it looks like it's been updated so the link goes there now... I can't seem to find the game reviews on the new one. Had many screenshots as I recall.

Trev, here's another idea! You can also take snapshots of high-quality YouTube videos that aren't yours!

No, oh god no. The only Jag videos I have right now (asides from a Raiden longplay I just uploaded) are from way-back-when when I pointed my camera at my TV to gather footage.

Sure, get my hopes up ...

Actually some of my favorite Youtube vids are captured that same way.

How about this: Use snapshots from those videos, and put captions underneath them saying, "Actual photos from 1995". Haha!
