Since getting old. (I'm 34) I've had a re-occuring theme during drunken-ness. That time is now, that dream is this.

I want a space ship. Not a time travelling one. Not an Enterprise one. Not a w*nky little x-wing.

I want a mega 10mile square f**k-off space ship. A fast one. With really low miles to the gallon. And Atomics. (asminov anyone?) and guns and stuff. And none of that hawkins black-hole crapola. Or big-bang rubbish. It is rubbish you know? Plain old 4 dimesnional space and big, really big engines. DId I mention the engines? And Robots too. Not those crappy robots the Koreans made or that wimpy spaceman one from Honda, I'm talking proper multi-parallel processing sythentic human brain robots, that can joke and stuff. But most of all I want a spaceship.

I don't think you have to get old (or drunk) to want a spaceship... I've wanted one since I was like six!

Seriously? I've been talking a lot, outside of the Internet, with people. And lots of people want spaceships.

...maybe it's because their hasn't been a decent sci-fi 'thing' in years,

Hell yeah, I want a spaceship... I want to take it to see other planets. But mostly because I want to go really fast. I want a fighter jet for the same reason.

Ahhhh. You see. I'm different. I want to go really fast and kill stuff with all the weapons and stuff on my spaceship. It'll be cool - I'll save you a seat!
