point and click games
Does anyone know where I can find a list of point n' click games broken down by platform? Eveything I see is either pc only, or it doesn't indicate which console.
I assume you're looking for adventure games. They don't really happen on consoles anymore except in freak occurences. There were a fair few more back on the Playstation (Blazing Dragons, Discworld 2) but they've fallen way out of vogue with the console crowd. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single one from the Playstation 2 onward.

My favorite point n' click games were the 'Broken Sword' series (both on PS1) I'll have to check out part 3 on my Xbox too.
'Beneath the Steel Sky' is a good title I have for my Amiga cd32.
And of course, 3DO has Snow Job & Sherlock Holmes. Speaking of Sherlock, EA did 2 sequels in the "Lost files" series. They came out on the pc. Has anyone ever played them?
I'm still waiting for the ds to get some more of this genre, as the touch screen makes it the perfect fit.

Ah, point & clickies my favorite genre.
The PC is my main thing for these as there are hundreds for it.
The CD32 & Segacd got quite a few.
Simon the Sorcerer was pretty good for the cd32 (full talkie version too).
The SegaCD has a few more
# The Adventures of Willy Beamish
# Dune
# Night Trap
# Rise of the Dragon
# The Secret of Monkey Island
# Shadowrun
# Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Volume I & II
there were a few on the saturn, ps1 and ps2 (monkey island 4 was good although not really a point & click series anymore)
Check out

they do have a pretty big list which does also include some console games but doesn't go back beyond the ps1.
or
moby games is Excellent for sorting by genre type and lists older consoles as well (3DO, Sega Cd, CD32 etc)
simply click on the computer or console then choose the genre on the next page, some of the listings aren't strictly point & click as the genre is a bit more widespread but i think you will find everything here.

The sherlock holmes games are pretty good and i think there is about 4 or 5 for the pc now, not sure if they are all part of the same series though.
Hope these help.
