Burinig the cue

Post by miketrav » Wed Sep 17, 2008 2:15 am

Hey guys. This is kind of a general question that applies to burning games

I have been downloading games from variois rom sites and extracting the iso and mp3 files, converting the mp3 to wavs, and changing the cue to wav.

I then attempt to bun the cue image. Every time I do It never works and i get a invalid cue error.

If i just burn the iso, everything works, but i get no sound. This applies to 3do and sega cd games i am downloading. So of course i need the cue to burn, so i get music and a proper download.

I am burning with burnatonce, and using a mp3 wav converter for sound conversions. Below is a example of my cue.. do you think it looks right, anything stick out as wrong?

Here is a utility which will generate CUE files for you:
http://www.racketboy.com/downloads/sega-cue-maker.htm

You simply pick the folder and it will generate a CUE sheet for all the files in the folder. A pretty nifty tool.

Hmm... well the only thing I can think of is the ISO itself is broken. You are getting these from rom sites and they are crappy ISO + MP3 rips instead of perfect 1:1 rips so there are bound to be errors.

The only thing I can think of is getting the CDMage utility (it's free) and scan the BIN for errors. CDMage could be able to correct them.

thanks i will try... but the roms work perfect in a sega emulator. If the iso was broken wouldn't that effect the play in the emulator?

That's a burnatonce bug. It can't handle long filenames. Simply use a different program to burn the disc.
