Is it comedy week on eBay?

Post by 3DOKid » Tue Mar 24, 2009 11:46 pm

3DO stuff seems to be selling at premium.

I apprecaite the pound is almost without value but still, it doesn't justify:

$2000 for a FZ-35S1H1-M (rare or not)

and 50% of all games are $40+

and a boxed 3DO mouse for $100.

Madness. Credit Crunch, idiot strikes.

Oh and for some inexplicable reason, that guy still hasn't managed to sell his unboxed, un-manual-ed copy of Lucienne's Quest for $90 why-oh-why would that be?

That sale didn't go through. The guy who did the BIN had zero feedback and the item has been relisted.

All older game stuff is going for insane amounts. It's crazy, like a 400% mark-up on systems and accessories. I saw an old NES with SMB3 and two other games go for $200! WTF? The games were nothing special and there were no boxes or manuals, just a new 71 pin connector. Wow a $5 part... something is wrong with people, it's not even x-mas!

Oooh clever. :D

It is like they missed the marketing 101 class.

Rule #1: Maker it cheaper, you sell more.

You're absolutely right.

I think the rule of thumb is not to go below your cost of manufacturing however. And i don't think these hawkers on eBay are paying -5% of what they are charging.
