From what little I've seen it looks mighty impressive. They seem to have hit the characters on the nail, all the rest looks like candy!

hmm. You might be right. However, if it makes me want to be star ship commander again, it will win my vote.

here's an interesting anecdote - Eric Bana who plays the bad guy was originally an Australian comedien. In one of the episodes of the skit show he starred in he actually played a "hammy " Lt Worf complete with a plastic lobster stuck to his forehead  to replace the Klingon furrows!

just thought I'd mention that - looking forward to it too!

I'm gonna go see it, not opening day though. Probably later in the week when there are no yelling morons in the theater.

In my experience, the "yelling morons" return beyond opening weekend for repeated viewings ... beware.

Metrosexual haircut fetishist mutants plus business economics students are flying together in this LOST space edition fake-movie, doing things more stylish and more efficient. I'm already bored to death.

Just seen the new Star Trek flick and I'm very impressed! :D

It's a real roller coaster that never stops until the sappy ending, probably the only low point of the entire movie. Only lasts a couple of minutes though so not to worry!

Movie was good. Still needed a little story polishing. FX were great but it would have been better if they worked on the story a little more. Also if the interior of the Enterprise looked like those of the other movies as well as the transporter FX it would have felt much better. Oh and fix the going to warp... what was with that?

Pretty good flick ... better than I expected. Wish the baddie was fleshed out more (limited screen time hurt) Bones was brilliant! :)

Bones had all the best lines! Don't want to spoil it for anyone else but they are crackers.
