Need For Speed - 1 hour

For the first time in my life I completely crashed all of my cars in a race. The X-Man was disgusted, told me to get a life, and then get a shrink... and walked off into the distance

5 hours on CPU Bach. Not that you can really call it playing, just listening.

I'd forgotten about this thread. Does anyone here (active members) frequent Jaguar Sector II? The_Legend (who started this idea) is active there. Coming back man :?:

I came here due to seeing Mattyg on AtariAge.

I stopped coming here due to the fact that I just can NOT get into the 3DO.

I don't have a great collection, but I do have quite a few games. And the only ones I even consider playing are IceBreaker and Trip'd.

Everything else just sits there.

As much as I'd LIKE to hook up and play my 3DO, I just can't. I don't enjoy playing the games on it. So I just stopped coming here.

I'm not bashing it or anything, I just can't get into it.

That's like me and the JagCD. I like the console, but the only games I seem to find fun are those on carts, but it still looks cool with the CD added on the top.

No problem man, I was just curious since you arrived w/so much initial enthusiasm & seemed to be impressed by the 3DO's library.

Hopefully some day you will be able to get a "great collection" and see all that 3DO has to offer. Anyway, take care of yourself and If I don't see you around here again than maybe I will at JSII if I join up.

2 hrs of Killing Time - exotic, but annoying framerate which really makes me cry when fighting the insane army of cooks throwing knives at me.

4 hrs of Starfighter - the best and most impressive game on 3DO: The sound of the Starfighter plane sounds like a real F-16 or something - and dropping a bomb and seeing the houses explode give me a feeling of absolute power. The controlling is not so easy but feels realistic. The best 3DO game. Good music, fast loading times, good effects. Flying high and then returning and attacking the enemy base... It's so impressive. I'm gonna make a movie about it, dedicated to the 3DOKid.
edit: Bought it for 24,99 EUR on ebay. Good condition.

You spent three and a half hours playing Fatty Bears Birthday Surprise????

I, I... I just don't know how to respond to this. I want to give you a clever insult but I'm just...

LOL

My kid loves that game and wouldn't let me turn it off! Although I do give the game cool points for being directed by Ron Gilbert, one of the creators of the incredibly awesome Monkey Island series!

Total Eclipse = 5 Hours

I wanted to try and beat it w/o using any cheats. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Uhmm... no. After playing for about 45 minutes and realizing there was no way in heck that was going to happen, I entered the 99 lives cheat and burnt them all on the way to level 18. 3 levels away, I just couldn't finish. Either I suck or that game is hard as heck. Oh well, got to see all of the variety the game had to offer.

Liked: Wall textures and sense of speed in the tunnels. Player's ship design. Boss designs.

Disliked: Barrell rolls are useless (except for one boss battle which requires them). Insane difficulty level with long courses and no save game feature.

Huh?: Weird soundtrack. Saxaphones and banjo's are not often heard in sci-fi space shooters.

It was fun but I'm happy it's over. PHEW!

Glad I'm not alone ... I confessed to my struggles w/this game & my use of cheat codes back when I posted my review of it (my 1st on this forum) I too share your frustration.
