OMG real-time, playable M2 Dolphin demo !?

WOW! It's realtime!

When I saw screenshots of the Dolphin demo in recent years, I assumed it was pre-rendered CG, like the famous 'M2 Racing' and 'M2 Dungeon' demos

Understandable, since the M2 thread has become so bloated ... I think it has earned a promotion from "sticky".

Nice, for the section and this groovy looking Demo. It still kills me that this never happened though. I remember waiting for so long for the M2 . . .
This is a stick up! Put all of your 3DO games in the bag and nobody gets hurt!

can someone clarify wether or not the M2 uses normal CDs?

What do you mean with "normal CD"? CDs for M2 are using mode 1 data tracks and red book audio, if that is what you call a normal CD. However, it doesn't use the ISO9660 filesystem but the Opera filesystem, which Windows can't read.

It seems that only the M2 Racing demo and the Dungeon demo (which was two-parted actually, not just the Dungeon scene) were pre-rendered, all other M2 demos were real-time.

I have the assets for all the other demos, and they obviously all ran on the M2 in real-time.
