What games ould the 3DO have done justice too.
A 3DO wish list.
Bullfrog could have released: Populous (3DO edition.)
Rayman could have easily turned up on 3DO.
Robocop 3D (as we saw on the Amiga)
Epic (as we saw on the ST and Amiga, with up rated graphics)
3DO specific version of RType or indeed, Raiden...?
What else?

Man, Populous on 3DO would've been so awesome.
Wasn't Rayman actually in production for 3DO? But it got canned before release if I recall.
I also believe Discworld was going to be on 3DO as well, but also got canned.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 was also near completion too I believe and was canned.
Such a shame, I wonder how many 3DO games we're very close to completion, or possibly even finished, and were not released.
I know I would do just about anything to play NHL' 96 on 3DO.
I remember seeing pics of it in mags back in the day, and I wanted it SOOOO BAD.
I recently saw a video of it in action, and I think it looked really good.
Alas...

I know I'm a bit late replying to this one but I've given it some thought. I've tried to take myself back to '94-'95 and what games that not only mattered but what the 3DO could have done......and the same publisher keeps popping into my head - Lucasarts.
Remember when they weren't just Star Wars games?
Firstly Wing III proved that the 3DO could handle a nicely upgraded x-wing/tie fighter - no question - this would have rocked!
Secondly the very underrated Full Throttle would have been a nice addition as well as Monkey Island and Sam & Max ports.
I honestly thought at the time that any platforms success against the pc - and I see that as one of 3DO often forgotten competitors- was sewing up a Lucasarts contract. When Rebel Assault got ported I thought that there may have been a chance. Remember although the 3DO was pricey it was still the fraction of a comparable pc
The controversial Phantasmagoria would have been at home on the 3DO as well.
With 3DO software running to an OS not hardware pc conversions should have been a doddle
Magic Carpet was another that was hinted at for a 3DO release and finally there was the game that was started , promised and never beamed into our living rooms - Star Trek.
Star Trek was to be such an important title for the 3DO that I was always angry that politics weren't put aside and the publisher helped by 3DO studio. I know that was never going to happen but......

I would of loved to have seen Gabriel Knight 1 and 2, 3DO would of really done justice to them esp the second one, the 3DO's video quality would of been superior to the PC version just like Wing Commander 3 was.
Also it would of done justice to Under A Killing Moon and The Pandora Directive, not sure it it could of handled Overseer as well though esp the DVD version as that came out in 1998.
Wing Commander 4 i remember seeing in magazines that it was coming out on the 3DO but never did, that could of done justice to it as well and i would of loved to see how the 3DO would of handled the landscape based missions.
Spycraft The Great Game would of been great on 3DO too but the 3DO was commercially almost dead by its PC release in 1996.
