3DO First person shooters?

Post by 3DOKid » Wed Jan 20, 2010 1:13 pm

Are these, or are this not FPS games?

- Deathkeep
- Slayer
- Iron Angel
- Iron Angel 2
- Defcon 5
- Virtual Quest
- Escape from Monster Manor
- Immercenary
- Killing Time
- PO'ed
- Doom
- Space Hulk

12 FPS 'styled' games anyway.

Are any better than Doom (generically rather than 3DO Doom which is bobbins)

Which is the best one?

Which is technically the most impressive?

Your help is appreciated.

They all are.

Virtual Quest is also known as Seal of the Pharaoh. It looks good but is a little on the childish side. (maybe not to the Japanese)

The best of course is the one you didn't mention WOLFENSTEIN !

After that if you want just shooting and exploring like Wolf than Killing Time, then Escape from Monster Manor, then POed. If you want to use your brain and force yourself to make some sort of strategy play Space Hulk! If you want to punish yourself than play Deathkeep or Slayer, you butt with then be promptly kicked. I recall Slayer may have been the easier of the two but it's been so long since I wanted to pull out my hair that I can't be for sure. One of them was insainly hard, the other one was a little nicer but still difficult.

Virtuoso :?:

I remember it was sort of played like a FPS, but it just had that dude in it in view as you shot up the beasties, so maybe it's technically a TPS (third person shooter)

Some levels of Demolition Man look like FPS.

Haven't played all of this list but in my opinion the best ones are Killing time, Space Hulk (I lllove this game!!) and Po'eD. First two got nice graphics and atmosphere, the last one - only graphics)

Playing Space Hulk in the dark can get scary.
