It isn't half bad actually. There is something very irritating about the concept and the presentation, but once you get into it, there is an addicitive quality.

I should try this game again. I don't recall having fond memories of it, but it's been so long since I last tried it that I don't even remember what it looks like (and what I do see via screenshots looks completely foreign to me). With all the praise it gets here, it wouldn't hurt to try.

I love this game, and rank it among my top 25 for 3DO titles. :D

Like regular pinball it is very addictive, but the novelty of the behind the ball (puck) view really makes it feel fresh and new. There was nothing like it, and probably still isn't. Not to mention the audio/visual package which is top notch (there was an official soundtrack for this game which I don't own, sadly) Also, the fmv use is among the better examples of how it can be used to compliment a game, rather than detract.

3DOKid, sounds like an updated review on your blog is in order.

I've got it, and if you like, I'll grab an image and throw it up for anyone interested.

Here it is. These are just zipped WMA's for quicker upload/download, so if anyone wants better quality let me know and I'll upload a disk image or something.

Pataank scored on concept and somewhat on presentation. It was very playable once you got used to it, but it felt a bit feature-poor, like a half-complete pinball table. Things were perhaps a bit too straightforward and easy.

No problem.

I just happened to have the soundtrack sitting right at the front of a storage rack when this thread came up.

A disc image or FLAC with a cue file would be really great!

Coincidentally, the local independent shop happened to have a complete copy of this game. I went ahead and snagged it.. Honestly, it looks nothing like I remember, so I was apparently thinking of a totally different game. Not sure when I'll be able to give this one a go, but I'll be looking forward to it. Needless to say, it looks interesting.

F**cking MediaFire. I'll look into it when I get back from work later today.
It is marked as a public file and it downloads fine for me, but no one else it seems.

Has anyone here been able to successfully download it??

Thank you for the offer Vance, I appreciate it.
I have other means of sharing it, but now it has pissed me off to the point where I want to find out what is wrong. I have a Premium account which means that this is something I am paying for and this isn't the first time I've had issues with MediaFire.

Can the people who wrote that the link isn't working tell me more about what messages (or lack of messages) they are getting when they attempt to download? I have a trouble ticket open with MediaFire and they are telling me that the file downloads without issue.

Invalid or Deleted File
The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire.
