I would murder a small village for access to even a small portion of that footage.

Seriously.

I would. :P

Um... yeah - I never got around to encoding them.

I take that back, I did encode one, and then stopped abruptly. It takes a while to do this and I am running pretty far behind on a number of projects I really want to finish first. For example, the DAC RGB and digital audio modification docs I was supposed to have completed a lifetime ago.

I'll see if I can locate the one tape I finished and put it up shortly. I'll probably split it up into segments as it was quite large.

Well, it is at your leisure, so not like anyone can get mad at you. I'm sure we'd appreciate whatever you get to at this point.
This is a stick up! Put all of your 3DO games in the bag and nobody gets hurt!

If you don't mind sending the tapes through the mail, I could do it for you. I have a SuperVHS deck but my digital recording is limited to a DVD recorder. I never did get around to getting a video capture device in all these years. Maybe when I build a new computer...

Anyway, you prob don't want to send them out but if you feel safe with it let me know. BTW I'm in the USA.

I'd be very interested in seeing what the focus group could have possibly said in favor of rise of the robots that would have made them green light it . Perhaps they were pumping happy gas into the focus group room during that game.

Bitrate...I'd be happy to xfer them if you want. Since I am a filmmaker, I have access to an entire studio where I can digitize them, then encode out to an uploadable file size with extremely nice quality. I have access to what amounts to a render farm, so the process would be quite quick

PM me if you want to talk about it

Sorry, my post reads different than what I had intended to convey. I didn't mean to sound bitter there.

And thank you both, 3DO Experience and awbacon for the offers to transfer the tapes.
I have access to some fairly nice encoding hardware as well which might be preferable to shipping all these tapes around. But, like I said, time is an issue so I might take you up on your offer.
