No matter how much you love the Dreamcast, don't piss off the 3DO!

Super Street Fighter II' Turbo/X:GMC looks better on 3DO via RGB mod than it does Dreamcast. Dreamcast is missing Gex too along with Need for Speed, Sailor Moon, Crash N Burn, Eye of Typhoon and a few other gems. On the other hand 3DO is missing the good stuff in DCs library. :( Also, I'm not sure but I think the 3DO version may have sold more.

DC wasn't as popular as Saturn in Japan, this game came out near the end of the consoles lifespan. Plus 3DO enjoyed sales from three different regions, United States, Japan and Europe. One would think 3DO has the most popular straight up port of SSF2T&X.

Ultimately I prefer 3DO. Better d-pad, memory cache, and superior video output.

They're both great but the older system wins, IMO.

This isn't making fun of 3DO, it promotes the Dreamcast version coming out, but mentions the 4 already released versions (Sega Saturn, 3DO, etc.) and in the subscript of panel 2 the upcoming Playstation edition. A kawaii mockery of the glut of Street Fighter II spinoffs.

A lot of us from 3DO -- Neal, Gary, Gretchen and I -- came over to Sega to work on the launch of the Dreamcast. So it was a lot of the same people behind the US titles for the Dreamcast as were behind the titles on the 3DO platform. I ran DTS for the Dreamcast in the US.

I guess it's quite a small industry doing what you do.

You wouldn't know the half of it. It's gotten bigger in some ways but in some ways... still very tiny.

I work in a similar (yet different) industry for a tech hardware vendor. And we all know each other, we all compete, and often the whole industry is like a giant game of musical chairs :)

I hear ya on that too. I work in the biotech world of DNA sequencing. I've been following Hugh Martin's progress at PacBio closely. That company has neato technolgy, but not marketable.
