Best Method for Burning Games
I have spent the last few days with about 20 coasters trying to find the best way to burn 3DO games for my FZ1.
As we all know the minimum burn now is 4x. If you try to burn in Win 7 or Vista I always got a coaster. However I came up with a plan to have Windows XP as a virtual Machine using VMWare. I then burnt my disc through this at 4x and all of them work flawlessly. no skipping etc.
No Idea why but if you are having problems try XP !!

That's most likely due to your CD burner or the software you are using. I am using Windows 7 as well and can burn at 4X or 8X in at least one of my drives using Nero (version 7, I think? It came with one of my burners a few years back).phatrat1982 wrote:I have a brand new laptop running windows 7 and it only burns cd's at 24x nothing slower. I always buy good media though so I rarely have problems but cd's are so damn cheap anyways it's nothing to throw a few coasters away.

like I said it is brand new, everything the laptop the burner everything actually it is a Blu Ray drive it just happens to burn cd and dvd also but will not go below 24x. But I don't think I said it was because I was running Windows 7 I only meant it was because my hardware was too new. And I am running Nero also.
