The saddest list ever...unreleased 3do games.
Moderators: 3DO Experience, Devin, Bas, 3DOKid
The Harmony Engineering website mentions Dinonauts, an educational game that was released for Mac and Windows. I'm assuming it has nothing to do with Virgin's Dinoblaze or Panasonic's Theo the Dinosaur.
Fire Wolves (Firewolves) was shown at E3 1995. It was described "as a first-person Zelda".
It was hidden in there:Trev wrote:Cool article, although I didn't see mention of Firewolves in it. Enjoyale read nonetheless.
desivArticle wrote:Elsewhere I saw FIRE WOLVES which was described to me by the developers as a first-person Zelda. This version was pretty slow, but if you like the idea of a first-person adventure, as opposed to just run around a shoot everything, keep your eye out for this one - it should be out around the end of the summer. I am almost sad I read that list! I could just imagine how awesome the 3DO version would have been with the actual songs being played instead of a 16-bit rendition. I hope a beta of that is discovered on day, but that is probably wishful thinking.Calavera wrote:Wow Rock N Roll racing had a planned 3DO port? That would have been awesome! I loved that game on the SNES.

Re: The saddest list ever...unreleased 3do games.
I thought I might find this one on here, seeing as how it's another ALG light gun arcade game. For those who didn't know, Fast Draw Showdown finally got a home port for Wiiware. I tried out the demo and can't say I'm too impressed. The gameplay comes in such brief spurts that the game seems to have been designed for people with two-second attention spans. Not a big loss for the 3DO.pitsunami wrote:||Fast Draw Showdown |American Laser Games|
This was coming to 3DO? Most interesting. Though I'm guessing it would have been a Japan-only release like all the other console ports of the game.pitsunami wrote:||Return to Zork |Activision |
Having seen footage that would have been used for this game in the film Game Over, I have to say this one looks like it would have been very nice on the 3DO. It offers more of a variety of gameplay than Digital Pictures's other games, and it looks like a fairly generous budget went into the video footage. Hopefully one day the homebrew community will rescue this one from the dumpster.pitsunami wrote:||Maximum Surge |Digital Pictures |
Return to Zork was released with Saturn rocket and Play Station in Japan.
However, only the 3DO version was not released.

My brother and I were pretty impressed with Return to Zork when it came out. Did you at least get to play it on PC?FUJISAN wrote:Return to Zork was released with Saturn rocket and Play Station in Japan.

Are we just wanting Western unreleased titles? If not, there were a whole bunch in the last few issues of the Japanese 3DO Club magazines, including a hotel management game (off the top of my head, I forget the title, but an actual demo is playable on the last disc), Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster, etc. According to a Capcom rep, Rockman X3 was released, but have yet to lay my hands on one. Also, lets not forget the ambitious Worldbuilders.

Check out the screenshots on the original sampler discs, or some of the CES material, it was very ambitious, but not really a console game.

I thought World builders morphed into Shockwave? Or did they just share FMV?

I played the game with a Saturn.
But I wanted to actually play in 3DO

I've found a handful of games that were on gamelists that appear to be unreleased. Please correct me if these were actually released, otherwise might as well add these to the list:
Air Warrior
Dennis Miller: It's Geek to Me
Intelliplay's Football series (Quarterback, Linemen, Receiver, Defensive Backfield)
Naoko to Hide Bou: Kanji no Tensai
Naoko to Hide Bou: Sansuu no Tensai 2

There's box shots of the last two on GameFAQs, but I don't think the others were released.nixzero wrote:Air Warrior
