Flying Tree in Road Rash

I was playing my Japanese copy of Road Rash and remembered something I had seen in the American version, long time ago. Then drove there and found: there is a flying tree at 13.2 miles on track pacific coast - at the end of the ridge. I photographed with my phone:

If memory serves me correctly, it also exists in Playstation version of Road Rash. Anyone know about this glitch in other versions of the game? Or anyone remember any other famous (or not quite)glitches in 3do games?

I dont remember seeing this in the Saturn version.
