Prince of Persia
Was just playing Prince of Persia 2, and really wished we could've seen Prince of Persia 1 and 2 on the 3DO

Re: Prince of Persia
Yeah, I would have liked to have seen these games come to 3DO with upgraded visuals much like Out of This World.

Out of This World on 3DO in my opinion is the absolute definitive version of the game for any home console.
Funny thing is the Eric Chahi, the guy who made Out of This World, absolutely HATES the 3DO version.

I've always thought odd ... Personally, I've found it hard to go back to other versions of OOTW after playing the enhanced 3DO one.OfManNotMachine wrote:Out of This World on 3DO in my opinion is the absolute definitive version of the game for any home console.

Re: Prince of Persia
The thing about the 3DO OOTW is that it runs faster than other versions, and is much more difficult as a result. At least in the US it is anyway. That could be a reason he doesn't like it, if that statement is true.

Re: Prince of Persia
I don't recall his issue being about the speed of the game, but the soundtrack that was made for it and the graphical additions that we're made. He felt they weren't at all in line with his vision of the game.
Re: Prince of Persia
It will be interesting to see how the Chahi endorsed Jaguar version of OOTW stacks up to the 3do version in terms of gameplay, not cut cut scenes.
If they ever manage to ship it.
If they ever manage to ship it.
What came after the Jaguar was the PS1 which for all it's greatness, ushered in corporate development and with it the bleached, repetitive, bland titles which for the most part we're still playing today. - David Wightman

The game looks identical to the varying original computer releases. I think he will like it just fine.a31chris wrote:It will be interesting to see how the Chahi endorsed Jaguar version of OOTW stacks up to the 3do version in terms of gameplay, not cut cut scenes.
