Finally I'm back other game! £100 exactly for this little lot from The Bay Of E, think I bought it within 5 minutes of it going up after dealing with a few other unreasonable sellers. This guy was a genuine treat to deal with though. And with only £9.99 postage and it arrived in 3 days, I'm a very happy bunny.

Very nice collection to start out with. You'll have tons of fun with that lot.

PS. There is now a 3DO Mouse thread in Popular Topics.

Great bundle 3DwhO! Starfighter is arguably my favourite 3DO game but the rest are all great too.

Nicely done 8)

In brilliant condition too! There was another machine but the seller was mucking me about and so I went for this one instead. Funnily enough, that other machine ended up going for about £25 less and had less games anyway. Serves him right.

All spruced up, my mate is coming round to help me rearrange the house a bit tomorrow night so my old CRT TV will be down in the living room beside the HD one, then I'm waiting until Friday night to play, as I'm off Saturday to Monday from work and it's gonna be a 3DO weekend!

Are you pop quizzing us, Trev? Okay, I'll give it a shot. Without looking up older posts, the 7 games on your 3DO top 25 are:

1.The Need For Speed
2.Star Fighter
3.Battlesport
4.Wing Commander III
5.Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels
6.Return Fire
7.Gex

...So how many did I get right?

Incidentally, Wing Commander III, Return Fire, and Gex are all on my 3DO Top 25 as well... but since I've only played 25 3DO games, that doesn't say much, does it? (Seriously, I counted them just now, and it comes to exactly 25.)

I actually don't think I've ever posted my list actually. But you guessed 6 of the 7 (replace Space Hulk w/Slam n Jam) I'm not sure what order I'd put them either ... maybe I'll work on my list and post it just for fun.

You missed off Cyberdillo due to mild insanity, plus a crushing case of denial on Trev's part.

You got Starfigher in that bundle? Hell that usually cost lots of money all by itself!

I don't know about PAL (is there a PAL version?), but the NTSC version of Star Fighter isn't expensive at all. Are you thinking of Star Control II, maybe, or...?

Starfighter is a £6-10 game!

Must've been thinking of Star Control II, like you said...

This is the PAL version, which I do see online for about a tenner most of the time.

Yeah, but I could have read your opinions of the games and deduced it from that.
Trev wrote:But you guessed 6 of the 7 (replace Space Hulk w/Slam n Jam)
Ah, Space Hulk was the one I really wasn't sure about. So, let's see... There are 11 games in the set, so:

(7 choose 7) + (7 choose 6) * ([11-7] choose [7-6]) / (11 choose 7)

= 1 + 7 * 4 / 330

= 0.0878787...

So my guess was in the top 8.8% (rounded to the nearest tenth) of possible answers. Or in other words, if I had guessed the seven games at random, I'd have had an 8.8% chance of getting an answer as good or better than the one I got.

...Sorry. It's been too long since I've enjoyed a good probability problem.

Finally.... picked up a long box for BC Racers. I swear it took me about 2 years to find this. I had ebay emailing me every day a BC racers was listed.

Minor achievement, but rather satisfying for some reason... Who knew that damn game was so rare?

I will probably see a ton listed now that I finally have it.

Recently got rebel assault gex road rash ssf2 samurai showdown. Got offworld interceptor and starblade and operation jumpgate as well...
Also snagged a mouse and copies of shanghai and igos time trial (the latter I have no idea how to play :P )
And I just bought a copy of captain quazar which I am looking forward to. Was really enjoying gex but it won't save so either my memory is full with Just a road rash and doom save data on it or there is some other issue but I will get a memory manager next chance I get and hopefully that will mean I can save all my games. Can anyone advise if the internal memory would be full with just the two aforementioned game saves?

If you have a Saturn GEX looks better on that. I know, blasphemy! But it does.

I have a Saturn and I do love it but I was genuinely savouring it having never played it before on my 3do. Wanted to play the og on the hardware :P I am sad that way lol I will likely get the Saturn version someday just hoping I can get my current save issue resolved and play it through. Have to be honest it exceeded my expectations and I was impressed with the levels graphics and sound liked the controls too. Bothering me that it won't save and all my other games seem to be and that nobody else seems to have had this issue can only hope getting the memory unit might allow me to try and get it saving :|

While I am a Saturn fanatic, I found that the Saturn version doesn't look that much better than the 3DO version. I actually consider the Saturn version's main advantage to be the use of passwords instead of save files; it makes it easy to revisit levels you like, and it doesn't take up space in the console's memory.

The 3DO version does have at least one advantage: that cool little title screen animation. No idea why they cut it from the Saturn version.

I recall reading about the passwords over the 3DOs in my case not operational save game
Will get it one day for comparison
Have got a memory manager :P so hopefully I can get something working using that if it won't save with one of them plugged in I'm stumped. Hoping I can figure out how to use it as the console and disc are Japanese.
