Anyone play any music instruments?

Post by BryWI » Tue Jan 12, 2010 7:32 pm

I've been playing/recording music again lately. It's something to do other than video games ( i know, shame on me. lol). I recorded a demo the other day and I thought I would share it here to see what others thought. I play everything on the song. link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXx0dGGKe60 (make sure you are in HQ mode for better audio)

I'd also like to hear anyone else's work if they play any instruments. :)

I played the recorder. in 1978. Badly. Very very badly. But if you want a stirring, yet flawed rendition of Three Blind Mice, look me up.

I really like the tune dude. Sounds good. With a bit more practice you could probably release a CD or something! Hell what am I saying, that song rocks! Love the solos. It has an Epic feel to it.

I never really played anything much, I do know how to play a Trumpet though... haha.

Glad you liked it. Not some of my best stuff when it comes to something that is classified as epic. It was much easier back in the day when I at least had someone drumming and playing piano.

I was re-listening to it the other day and i realised I think it needs more of a melody to it or maybe just a better mix. I dunno. If I just stuck with one instrument, maybe I could actually get really good at one heh. For as long as I have been playing guitar, I should be better.

ambient tracks aren't my cup of tea, but it's not bad at all. Has enough variety to it to keep interest.

So I was bored on the 4th of July and decided to record a cover song. I covered Sugarloaf's 1970 hit Green Eyed Lady. I put my own style into it a little bit. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03ekzOrHRqQ and let me know what you think. :)
