To beat, or not to beat ...

Post by Trev » Fri Jun 06, 2008 6:25 pm

Although I've beaten a good number of 3DO games, there are still a handful that I have yet to complete. Usually it is because the game is lousy, but there are some that I really do like, but nevertheless have not completed.

A sampling ...

Cyberia - There is an arcade sequence I simply cannot beat
Snow Job - no excuse for this really, I just never seem to get around to it
Star Fighter - I think I just get to a point where I start to get bored. There are alot of missions!

(I wonder how these games end ... is it a good ending I mean)

Do any of you guys have 3DO games you've always meant to get around to finishing but haven't? What are some of them? And what were the reasons?

Confession time:

I didn't completely beat Powers Kingdom. I got insanely close, but the last cave is just too hard.

Wow, I beat a game that the mighty 3DOKid could not. :o Don't worry though, I won't let it go to my head ... Space Hulk still wipes the floor with me.

You know, it's been probably been almost a year & a 1/2 since I last played it ... I honestly can't remember. :?

Maybe its time to give it another playthrough. I guess I could try to beat it again, and maybe post a review.

Sorry, someone else will have to play the spoiler, cuz I forgot.

Star Fighter's difficulty ramps up once you get past the first world. I cant remember how far i got but it gets very frustrating. So i busted out the game guru!! lol.

It's funny, I use the Game Guru for file compression but rarely for cheats. The last game I tried it w/was Phoenix 3 and it did not work. I mostly (to the extent that I cheat) use codes or guides.

I usualy dont cheat either, but the sheer difficulty i was having at the time was really annoying me. I believe I just got bored after cheating though and just stopped playing.
