We will do what we can although it will still be very close to the release
as we are timing it with Elite and can't break street dates.
I did find out that Powerslide has wheels but they appear not to be there.
The best way to describe it is that the view is behind the vehicle and when
you turn or loose control you can make out wheels but the cars are a
typical box-like 3D object that you'd expect from this generation of 3D
rendering... Now you have me totally combing over the graphics... LOL
As we've said all along Powerslide is not complete, Decathlon is near
final as is PS BUT... IB2 and OnSide are near perfect.
I just got some gameplay footage today and will YouTube it later
this afternoon for everyone. You need to understand that although
Onside and IB2 are pretty much gold, and Decathlon is very close to
%100 complete that Powerslide is not. I'm guessing around %90.
When you play it I think you will understand that will a little tweaking to
the physics and graphics it would have been there. Try not to over hype
Powerslide, I know everyone is excited but if you are expecting this
game to be everything they once said it would have been you are
setting yourselves up for a major disappointment.
My major peeve's with Powerslide are the controls and the field of
view in rendering the track. In the attract mode before pressing
start everything looks fantastic but in the game the field of view is
very drastically cut. It is the last build Elite had of the game and
is, barring these few things I have pointed out, otherwise near
final.
Now I know this sounds like I'm bashing our own products, but
what I am attempting to do here is bring a realistic and critical
view of the game so you all know what to expect.
In short: Decathlon is fantastic and mostly final, IB2 is gold other
than the levels at the end of the grid Andy Looney didn't add and
%100 bug free, Onside's title screen reads... and this gives me a
chuckle every time I play it: "Yes my dear, it's onside! Now with
no bugs!", but Powerslide is very difficult to play because the
physics needed additional tuning and the graphics could have been
much better.
Hopefully this message and the videos will clarify everything.
