Sonic: Genesis or Saturn port?

This question is a bit random, but does anyone know which version of Sonic 3D Blast is contained in the Sonic Mega Collection plus disc for PS2/XBOX? Is it a port of the Genesis original, or the enhanced Saturn version?

Based off some screenshots, it looks like the Genesis version. The Genesis version had flat-shaded checkers for the ground while the Saturn version had more texture. Genesis would make sense, given that it's probably just using the same emulator that the other games are using.

The best way to tell is the FMV intro to the genesis version looks so damn bad you have to wonder why they would even bother with it (which I have this collection as well and that is the intro I remember being in it). Although the saturn had pitiful FMV, crazy pixels. And the playstation had bad fmv framerates... but I digress.
